Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy promotes health and wellness by preventing the onset and/or slowing the progression of physical conditions caused by injury, disease or aging. As a member of the health care team, a Physical Therapist evaluates and treats individuals of all ages who have experienced functional changes resulting from pain, orthopedic injury, surgery and its impact on the body, neurological injury, congenital defects, wounds, inflammation and injuries related to work and sports. The physical therapy staff of Gerber Memorial Health Services has advanced training in the following:

Physical Therapy Services are offered at all three Gerber Memorial Health Services Outpatient Therapy sites. Services require physician direction, including a prescription. While many insurance companies reimburse for Physical Therapy services, it is the patient’s responsibility to confirm coverage. Every effort will be made by the Rehabilitation and Wellness Department to assist patients through this process.
