GENERAL POLICIES

TAMARAC PERSONAL HEALTH ANALYSIS (PHA)
The PHA, a fee-based requirement for joining, is the first step in bringing Two Worlds One to the Citizens of Tamarac. Each Citizen will receive a one-on-one assessment with a Tamarac Fitness Guide. All Fitness Guides have a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science and are certified by nationally recognized personal training boards. During your PHA, your Guide will assist you in completing a health risk assessment; flexibility and strength tests, body composition and endurance. After completing the assessment, you and your Guide will review results together and collaborate on a personalized exercise prescription. Your Guide will provide a tour of Tamarac, including introduction to staff and programming which will support you in your journey for health improvement. The last step in the PHA is orientation to the new, state-of-the-art equipment within Tamarac, an orientation which includes a hands-on demonstration of how FitLinxx can enhance your Tamarac experience. FitLinxx is a computerized program that tracks individual exercise prescriptions and goal achievements. The PHA is required to better serve Citizens by getting to the very heart of their wellness endeavors, A personal contact, the Fitness Guide, will answer any questions that may arise on a Citizen’s journey toward well-being. Contact the Tamarac Citizen Specialist at 924.1780.
